What does ShipContent actually do?
It watches the GitHub repositories you connect, and when something ships, a merged pull request or a published release, it drafts a post about it for the platforms you've set up. You review it, and you decide what goes live.
Which platforms can I publish to?
X (Twitter) and Bluesky today. We're deliberately starting narrow instead of doing five platforms badly, more are on the roadmap.
Does it publish automatically, or do I review drafts first?
You choose, per project. Review (the default) drafts a post and waits for your approval before anything goes out. Auto-publish skips that and posts straight to your connected channels, it's a Pro feature. Either way, nothing goes out on its own unless you've turned Auto-publish on yourself.
Does ShipContent see my source code?
It reads what's needed to write about a change: merged pull request diffs, commit messages, and release notes from repositories you explicitly connect via the GitHub App. Nothing else, and nothing from repositories you haven't connected. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Can I edit a draft before it's published?
Yes. Every draft is editable in place before you publish, skip, or discard it.
What if I don't want a post about a specific PR?
Discard it. It won't affect future drafts, ShipContent keeps a memory of what's already been said (project voice, past posts) so it doesn't repeat itself regardless.

Which repositories does ShipContent work with?
Any GitHub repository you install the ShipContent GitHub App on. GitLab and Bitbucket aren't supported yet.
